Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Infiniti JX35 we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 trailer brake controller, part number 90195. Now to help us in our installation we're gonna be using the universal installation kit for trailer brake controllers with seven way RV, part number ETBC7.Here's what our Prodigy P3 looks like once we have it installed. Now this is a proportional brake controller which means it's gonna apply the brakes in the same intensity as we apply them to the car at the same time to our trailer. The way it's gonna do that is it has an internal inertia sensor that's gonna detect the deceleration or us slowing down. That's why it's important that when we mount our brake controller it's gonna be in a flat plane where we can mount it all the way in a vertical plane or pointing straight down, just needs to be in the direction of travel and nice and level.Now over here the up and down arrows, that's gonna adjust your maximum power output and this is gonna be in volts, it's gonna go all the way from 14 volts all the way down to zero, again that's gonna be the maximum output it has. Now over on the right side the button that looks like a book that's gonna be your menu set up button, it's gonna take you through your display which has got a couple different options of color that you can set up and your brake type. more
